Dawn After a First Headless Workshop

One day with Douglas I found I had
No face
But a space in place for the world
            Though
On holding my baby to my chest
At dawn the next morn
looking down I discovered I'd grown
a small head
            (while in bed?).
'It' cried at night, when left on
the baby in the cot.
A technique to make sure lots
of cuddles it got.

So thank you Douglas, Catherine and Richard
for pointing out the obvious to me.
Now with baby Sophie I exchange
A sleepy head
for the one I never see!
