Welcome!

The World Comes Alive

One of the consequences of seeing Who one is, is that the mind is no longer felt to be a personal private central possession locked up in a brain or a head, but is in fact the world. If one lets one's mind back into the world the world comes alive again. Seeing the universe as living is seeing the mind as out there, as universal. It is the realisation of the mind as the world or an aspect of the world, and ceasing to divide the world into self/not-self, mind/body, here/there. The whole of what one had stolen from the world - the qualities, the consciousness, the life which one had stolen from the world and encapsulated in a thing called my personality, mind, soul - restoring all this property to the world is the coming to life of the world. (Douglas Harding. 1976 Interview.)
