Reflections on living from Capacity

A second introductory evening workshop here in Siberia, with 30 people. Like last night, people are open and receptive to Seeing. A delight to share it.

Richard Lang - Friday, May 11, 2012

I gave an introductory workshop last night in a bookshop. About 20 people. No problem sharing the Seeing - people were open to it. A delight. One lady came up to me afterwards, visibly moved, saying how she was seeing the emptiness - and how amazed she was at this fact. Some beautiful reactions in the rest of the group too - some people really trading faces, and others clearly taking in what we were sharing.

I'm staying with the organiser and his family in their home outside the city. In the middle of nowhere in particular! They have a new, wooden house, and it's wonderfully quiet. Hardly a sound out here. The land is flat, flat, flat! It was minus 6 when I arrived yesterday in the early morning, but it warmed up in the day, and today is sunny and warm.

I'm jet-lagged, so in the early hours I was playing around with another cartoon about Seeing, using drawings Rob Middleton has done for me. It's fun!

Just arrived in Novosibirsk - minus 6 degrees! There's a 'presentation' in a bookshop this evening. Marvellous to be here - another world!

I'm leaving for Siberia tomorrow! Two evening workshops, and a 2-day workshop. Back next week!

I've also been editing the interview I did with Catherine Harding in April. I've just added Greek subtitles.

We had about 20 people for the 2-day workshop in Prague at the weekend, April 28-29. We did many experiments. In the whole group, people were a little reluctant to share or to lead the group through the experiments, so I divided the group up into small groups - and then everyone participated happily. The purpose of the workshop is not simply to share the truth of who we really are, but to practise it together, and to make it more deeply our own. When you communicate your experience to others, this deepens the process of making it your own - of owning it. This is partly why it is powerful for people to share their experience in the group - even simply to say Yes, this is true, I do not see my head. This is reversing the powerful influence of social conditioning. If someone then guides others through an experiment, this affects that person in the same way - they are reversing, in a sense, the social view of themselves - or rather, placing it, and standing up for their own view. Probably, when someone leads others through an experiment, the person it most affects is the person doing the experiment!

I've just uploaded a new video interview. This one is with Philip and Wendy Pegler - recorded last July, at the Summer Gathering.

Australia West Coast

We had a wonderful weekend workshop here near Perth. Relaxing ever more deeply into Who we really are.

Today I've been working with Sam on the final design of my revised book,Seeing Who You Really Are, for publishing as a paperback - it's already available as an ebook. We've just finished it. So that should be ready for publication in a few weeks. The rest of the day I'll be looking through the version of Turning Points by Douglas Harding that Navi has prepared for me. Step by step we are publishing more books. Tomorrow I fly back to London.
