| Berdyaev (1874 – 1948) Nikolai Alexandrovich Berdyaev was a Russian religious and political philosopher. He was a prolific writer, both before his exile from Russia in 1922, and afterwards in the West. “His philosophy has been characterised as Christian existentialist.
